1m x 1m glass-fabric fire blanket in a hanging pouch. For small kitchen, home and caravan fires such as chip-pan fires. Not large enough for adult clothing fires.

Blackspur fire blanket made from 100% glass fabric. Packed in a protective outer bag with a hanging keyhole. Conforms to BS EN 1869 (listed as 1997 or 2001 depending on pack). Model BB-FB101. Barcode 5017403047841.

How to use
Mount where it can be reached quickly, away from the cooker if possible. If a small contained fire starts and it is safe to act: turn off the heat if you can do so safely, pull the release tapes, hold the blanket with your hands shielded, and place it over the fire to cut off air. Leave it in place until cool. Switch off power to any appliance involved if it is safe.

If the fire is spreading, the room is filling with smoke, or you cannot get out past the fire, leave immediately and call the fire service. Do not pick up a burning pan. Dispose of the blanket after use; fire blankets of this type are not reusable.

Safety
This 1m x 1m blanket is not an adequate size for adult clothing fires. Keep out of reach of children except for emergency access. Read the instructions on the pack. Country of origin: China.
